Residents of St John’s Court Nursing Home in Bromsgrove welcomed some unusual guests for Dementia Action Week. Lollipop and Moomin, two miniature ponies, from local business Lollipop Ponies, came and raised smiles all around.
Today, we celebrate International Nurses Day and we want to give a huge shout out to all our nurses working tirelessly for our residents across our nursing and social care homes.

COVID-19 has been challenging for everyone, especially for our residents, their family and friends unable to visit each other during lockdowns. With visitors now allowed to come back to see their loved one, here is a visual guide on things to consider when visiting one of our homes.
Amica Care Trust is looking for dedicated people to join our Board of Trustees. The Trust owns and operates five nursing and social care homes, located in Bromsgrove, Crewkerne, Dorchester and Exmouth. The trust is also the freeholder of 183 independent living apartments and cottages and an older persons' independent living complex.
The standard, as per usual, was superb in both our Christmas competitions this year. Our residents and their activity teams really pulled out all the stops to make this a really special Christmas, despite not being able to spend it with their loved ones. However, there must be winners and we would like to announce that Housman Court won the Decoration Competition and Signature House the Cake Competition. Congratulations to both of them and to everyone who participated.

The staff at Signature House Care Home held a party for Bessie, and some of her children and grandchildren were able to visit briefly after first testing negative for COVID using the homes lateral flow test, and wearing PPE.

St John’s Court Care Home in Bromsgrove is gearing up for the forthcoming Chinese New Year. Our residents and the team, have now all received their vaccinations and our team is working hard continuing to keep everyone safe until all can come together as a family once more.
