Nelson is the Registered Manager at Ernstell House, having joined Amica in 2024 he brings nearly 30 years of nursing and healthcare experience from across Portugal and the UK, alongside a Master's degree in Health Services Management. Supporting those living with dementia has been an important part of his career, helping to establish a specialist dementia day service in Portugal.
Nelson works closely with the team to create a welcoming home, where residents are treated with kindness and dignity and families feel listened to and involved. He enjoys supporting colleagues to develop skills and confidence and believes that taking the time to listen can make a real difference to someone's day.

Regan has been working in the care sector since early 2020, beginning his journey as a Care Assistant before transitioning into activities in 2023. He joined Ernstell House in late 2024, bringing with him a passion for creating meaningful, person-centred experiences for those in care.
In a previous role, alongside his colleague Regan received outstanding recognition from the CQC for thoughtful and engaging approach to lifestyle planning and their commitment to meeting the mindful, individual needs of each resident.
Regan believes that just because someone is in care, it doesn’t mean life should slow down. His best work shines through when organising events that spark joy, curiosity, and connection. He takes pride in getting to know each person—what makes them tick, what they love, and how their interests can continue to grow and evolve.
