St John's Court

St John’s Court is an impressive Victorian Grade II listed building overlooking the restful town of Bromsgrove. At one time the vicarage to St John’s Church, the property itself has a rich and storied history. Having fist transformed into council offices it evolved into a care home during the 1900s.

Today it plays host to 44 residents, all of whom receive care classed as ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

When faced with the difficult decision of placing a loved one into care, it helps to know their new surroundings are both homely and conducive to assisted living. St John’s certainly fits that bill, forming part of Amica Care’s wider commitment to supporting families through the onset of Dementia.

Why Choose Us

Staff at St John’s court specialise in providing nursing and personal care to those suffering from the effects of a stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimer’s and varying types of dementia.

Their efforts are aided in no small part by high quality living conditions, an environment designed to put residents at ease. Housing no less than 42 bedrooms, St John’s also boasts en suite facilities, two separate lounges, a communal dining room, conservatory and spacious garden.

The aforementioned go some way towards creating a spirit of community, with interaction encouraged through the likes of communal activities.

To further aid the transition, family and friends are welcome at any time, often bringing personal belongings and mementos to adorn residents’ rooms, this to make a home from home.

Elsewhere a wide and varied range of events are scheduled, some of which take the form of ‘Away Days’ as trips into the community allow rests to savour some of Bromsgrove’s best loved attractions.
