Welcoming Our New Chair of Trustees

We’re excited to share some important news about the future of Amica Care. We welcome Grahame Paine as our new Chair of Trustees, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for effective, compassionate leadership.

Grahame joins us at a particularly meaningful time for the Trust, as we prepare to open our brand-new care home in Taunton this August, with the marketing suite set to launch in May. This new development represents a major milestone for Amica Care, and Grahame’s arrival couldn’t be better timed.

Grahame is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director with a strong track record of helping organisations strengthen governance, refine strategy, and drive positive change. Over the course of his career, he has held influential board-level roles with organisations including:

  • NHS Somerset
  • SPARK Somerset
  • Weston College
  • Weston Area Health NHS Trust

His leadership expertise spans organisational development, business transformation, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. Grahame is widely recognised for his ability to build strong partnerships and support boards to perform at their best. He also holds an MBA from the University of Bath.

Grahame follows Alan Ladd, who has served as Interim Chair of Trustees. We would like to offer Alan our heartfelt thanks for his leadership and steady guidance throughout this transition. His contribution has been invaluable, and we look forward to his continued involvement with the Trust.

With our new Taunton home on the horizon, and an exciting year of development ahead, Grahame’s arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for Amica Care.

CEO Keren Wilkinson shared her welcome, saying:
“We are very pleased to have Grahame join us as Chair of Trustees. His wealth of experience in governance, strategy, and transformational leadership will be invaluable as we progress our new developments and strengthen our services. With our new Taunton home opening this summer, this is a pivotal time for Amica Care, and Grahame’s leadership will play a key role in shaping our future.”

As we continue to grow and enhance our services, strong and thoughtful leadership remains at the heart of our mission. We’re delighted to welcome Grahame into this role and look forward to working with him as we move into this exciting period for the Trust.

Stay tuned for more updates on our new Taunton home and the opening of our marketing suite in May - there is much more to come.
