Celebrating Emma: Recognition on a National Stage

Emma Gardener, Healthcare Assistant (HCA) at The Orchards and a valued member of the Amica Care team for 9 years, was recently recognised at a national awards ceremony in London, an unforgettable experience that reflects her commitment to care and the people she supports every day.

Emma was shortlisted for the Fabulous Frontline Leader Award at the Stars of Social Care Awards, which bring together professionals from across the care sector to recognise dedication, compassion and leadership across both care homes and home care.

Attending a black-tie event hosted by Josie Gibson, Emma joined others from across the country who are making a real difference in people’s lives through care. On the evening, she was awarded a Highly Commended recognition, an incredible achievement and a moment we’re all very proud of.

For those who work alongside Emma, this recognition will come as no surprise. She is known for her kindness, her positive attitude, and the way she consistently goes above and beyond for residents and colleagues alike.

Emma said:

“It was such an incredible experience to be recognised alongside so many inspiring people in care. I feel really proud and grateful to be part of such a supportive team at The Orchards. This recognition isn’t just for me, it’s for everyone I work with every day.”

At Amica Care, we believe that great care is built on strong relationships, compassion, and teamwork and Emma reflects all of these values in everything she does.

Keren Wilkinson, CEO of Amica Care, shared:

“We are immensely proud of Emma and this well-deserved recognition. Being highly commended at a national awards ceremony is a fantastic achievement and reflects Emma’s compassion, dedication, and the difference she makes to the lives of residents and their families every day.”

Moments like these are an opportunity to pause and recognise the incredible people who make our homes such special places and Emma is a shining example of that.

From everyone at The Orchards and across Amica Care: Emma, thank you for everything you do. We are so proud of you.
