Spreading Love Across the UK This Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is often associated with romantic gestures, but at Signature House in Dorchester, this year is all about something even more meaningful: connection, kindness, and community.
This February, we are inviting people across the UK to take part in a simple act of kindness: sending a Valentine’s card to our residents. Our hope is to receive at least one card from every county in the UK, helping to create moments of joy and connection for the people who call Signature House home.
For many of our residents, receiving post is incredibly special. A card is more than just paper, it is a reminder that someone has taken the time to think of them, to write a message, and to send a little love their way. Opening cards together, reading messages aloud, and sharing smiles can brighten an entire day.
We welcome cards from everyone: individuals, families, schools, care homes, community groups, and businesses. Whether handmade or shop-bought, filled with drawings or a few kind words, every card is treasured and appreciated.
Taking part is easy. Simply write a Valentine’s card, include the name of your county inside, and post it to Signature House in Dorchester by the 14th February. We also encourage people to share their card on social media before posting it, helping us spread the message of kindness even further.
As cards arrive, our residents will be opening them together and feeling the warmth of knowing that people from across the country have chosen to send them love. It is a beautiful reminder that small gestures can have a big impact.
This Valentine’s Day, help us turn a simple idea into a nationwide moment of kindness... one card at a time. Thank you for helping us spread love far beyond Dorchester.
