Trust Admin Kicks Off Volunteer Scheme in Style

Last Monday, Tania, our Trust Administrator, became the first Support Office team member to take part in our new volunteering initiative. She spent the day at Exmouth House, stepping away from her usual desk duties to connect with residents and the care team.

From the moment she arrived, Tania was warmly welcomed. She quickly got involved in conversations with residents, sharing stories and laughs throughout the lounge.

The day was filled with a mix of creative and relaxed activities. Tania joined in with flower arranging, which added colour and fresh scents to the room. She also helped with nail painting, a calm and social moment that everyone enjoyed and later sat down with residents for some knitting and friendly chats.

One resident even jokingly challenged Tania to a darts match on her next visit and she’s already accepted!

This volunteering programme gives our Support Office team the chance to spend time in our homes, meet the people we support, and see the care in action. Tania’s visit to Exmouth House was a great example of how valuable (and enjoyable) these days can be.

She left with a full heart, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the warmth and community that define Exmouth House.

A big thank you to the residents and team for making her feel so at home. We look forward to more visits like this across our homes in the months ahead.
