National Pet Day 2025
We all adore our pets, no matter the shape, size or personality and National Pet Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our loyal companions. In particular, our incredible team at Signature House, Dorchester had an inventive way of showing some love and affection through their Pet Photo Competition. Anticipation and excitement followed throughout the weeks after the announcement, as inboxes were flooded with many cute (and some hilarious) photos of pets, sent in by members of our loving community. The final results would be split into two categories – the cutest and the funniest.
After careful consideration and some devoted discussions, the results were finally announced on the all-important day. Kicking off the list, in 3rd place for the cutest category we have the adorable Talyah, and accompanying in 3rd place for the funniest, we have Chanel the chicken, both well deserved of their position in the final selection.
Moving on, 2nd place in the cutest category was given to the precious Nala who wooed the judges with gorgeous looks and floppy ears. In the funniest bracket, dainty Darcey was awarded 2nd spot. Notably, the wonderful smile she produced was extremely impressive, especially considering her mouth was full at the time!
Now for the big announcement… the winners of Signature House’s Pet Photo Competition. Firstly, the winner of the cutest category was given to Podge, a sweet, sophisticated pooch who was well deserved of the grand title. Alongside Podge, finishing top of the list for the funniest category was Cocoa, who earned a spot at the top with a curious yet charming facial expression, and some very clever camera work (evidently mastering the selfie technique)!
We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone involved with Signature House’s Pet Photo Competition. Also, a heartfelt congratulations to the final six, and particularly Podge and Cocoa who impressively finished in first place. It was amazing to see so many photos, showcasing the adorable and funny sides of our pets, as well as the passionate and creative sides of our community. Days like these remind us of the love and joy pets bring to our lives, and how easily they can brighten even the gloomiest of days. Thank you again to everyone involved and we already can’t wait for the next National Pet Day!
