Amica Care appoints new Operations Director

Amica Care proudly announces the appointment of Kerry Hunt as its newly appointed Operations Director, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s leadership team.

Kerry Hunt brings an extensive wealth of experience to her new role, boasting over nearly two decades of valuable insights and accomplishments within the healthcare sector. Her journey with Amica Care began in 2014 when she joined as General Home Manager for Signature House and Signature Apartments in Dorchester. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and expertise, Kerry steadily advanced within the organisation, assuming the role of Senior Home Manager, Quality and Compliance Manager before ultimately being appointed as Operations Manager in 2020.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Kerry stated, “I am thrilled to have been promoted to the position of Operations Director and am eager to contribute to Amica Care's ongoing growth and success.”

“This new role comes at an exciting time for Amica Care, following the acquisition of our fifth home. I am particularly enthusiastic about the opportunities and challenges that come with this role as it presents a chance to shape the strategic direction of Amica Care and ensure that we continue to make a positive impact on both our residents and colleagues.

I am grateful for the support of the team and excited about the journey ahead as we continue to grow.”

The creation of the Operations Director position is a strategic response to Amica Care's recent acquisition of Ernstell House, in September 2023. This expansion reflects the organisation’s commitment to enhancing its service offerings and further solidifying its presence in the care sector.

As part of the organisational restructuring, Mandy Waldron has been appointed as the new Operations Manager, reinforcing the dynamic operations team at Amica Care. With these strategic appointments, Amica Care is poised for continued growth and excellence in providing specialist care for older people.
